A very large harvest, with some rain at the end of September, but most vigneron picked before the rain. Generally the fruit was picked in almost perfect health prompted by a three weeks of dry, warm, and sunny weather  from the 20^th of August through the Ban des Vendanges on September 18^th. Excellent deep color, fully ripe tannins and moderate plus acidity levels . One of the best vintages of the 90's falling squarely between the elegance of the 1993 vintage and the opulence of the 1990 vintage.
